i had the honor and the pleasure to eat at the soft opening of Grit this week, and let me tell ya, i am crazy excited for this sweet spot to open its doors! we were treated to a little pile of sour pickled lobster mushrooms as an amuse-bouche, a green salad topped with mild blue cheese, pears, and pickled elder berries, a gorgeous bowl of chantrelle soup that was light and not too thick with cream, a delicious lamb shank with the most moist, tender, fall off the bone meat, and a buttery plum tart for dessert. oh yeah, the cocktails were inspired and very well balanced too with pretty flowers as garnish. I might have had 2...or 3...or 4. so many thanks and congratulations to Ashley and crew for a fantastic meal and a beautiful start!
