i have been following closely the events taking place in Kenya with a lot of concern, first and foremost as a nation we have forgotten our sole responsibility to be born in the beautiful country of sacrifice and service to our land.i am totally dismayed by the high increase of public servants demanding of pay rise yet the nation is in total ruins.for instance the MPS passionately advocated for high pay rise even without first attending to the thorny issues affecting the common man,as i write there are clashes going on in the north eastern part of kenya, hundreds have been maimed by the attacks yet on the other hand the leaders are clamoring for more money,The public officers have not been left behind you find teachers are on strike demanding for more money, and i am sure of the other professional organs will join the wagon to claim for more.My greatest concern is have we turned to be a nation that is full of fanaticism in wealth and material ?and we forget the sole aim of the high calling of serving Kenyans,i rest my case by challenging public servants to move in to the private sector if they want to make more money,in my own opinion a public servant is more of a calling to serve than to be served.and monetary gain should not come first but service delivery.
