i have bought my self another piece of tv history an early 80s grundig cinema 9050 40 inch rear projection tv i saw it advertised faulty for the last month and couldnt see it going to the tip i owned one in 1999 drove to burnham on sea to get it and at the time i bought a new eht rectifier assembly to keep as a spare as it was the very last one stocked i actually bought the last one in august 99 and this tv needed one as well as a repair to the teletext pcb where the tda5020 was faulty after cleaning the mirror and crt lenses it gives quite a bright sharp picture for a tv over 20 years old to think back then this was your only option if you wanted large screen tv i love the way this looks like a wooden hifi until you power it up and the screen rises certainly brings back some memories it goes so nice with my collection of vintage tvs and vcrs which also include a 1969 sony trintron and a super beta hifi vcr :)
