i have two great groups of people to thank tonight for taking on fund raisers for the rescue this week.. first a big thank you to stacey and lexis angels our rescue partners in the north east for the alex and ahi show last night. 15% of all of the sales were for us ! and i heard they sold a lot of gifts for christmas.... thank you , i know what hard work you put into not just this fund raiser but all of the others that you hold throughout the year.. funds and fosters. thats what we are needing nd you all do both !! your donation from last night has enabled us to take in this little boy today from forgotten dogs of the fifth ward, he was found with several other dogs scrounging for food, he is about 3 yrs old and 11 lbs and from his vets check up has led a hard life, he is high heart worm positive, has periodontal disease and a cataract in one eye, beside the normal covered in fleas and full of worms etc. so once he has been vetted and neutered we will start on the rounds of visiting the specialists, dr swanson the eye vet,dr mcfadden the dentist and our vet for the heart worm treatment.. he has at least 3 months to go before he will be ready for adoption. but tonight he is in from the cold and dangerous streets and is safe and warm at our vets with lots of food and tlc..and will soon be a handsome dog once again looks like we are going to have to get him totally shaved down.. so thank you forgotten dogs of the fifth ward for picking him up and thank you stacey and lexis angels for helping towards his vet costs.. i named him chamblee.. after our wonderful fosters..sharon and marion who take care great of our pups !!
