i just learned today from our attorney regarding more of Snyders BS...i do not recall this being on the news...major changes in nursing home monies have already taken place...previously under Medicaid, an individual could have one house, one car, and $2,000 in a checking or savings account...if the individual needed to go into a nursing home, Medicaid would pay for the nursing home bill...now thanks to Snyder that is no longer true due to Estate Recovery under Michigan Department of Community Health...an estate includes all property and assets that pass through probate court. Examples are homes, cars, insurance money, and bank account...anyone that has to go to a nursing home would have nothing left for spouse, children, etc. there is now a Lady Bird Trust that can avoid this happening...however, if Snyder is re-elected Snyder has more issues he wants addressed that will adversely effect anyone requiring nursing home care...imo, individuals work all their lives...never have received any monies other than by their hard work...now if someone has to go to a nursing home their estate will be screwed!!! how much more does Snyder want to put on the back of hard-working individuals...that backbone of this state!!!
