i just listened to CT Senator Christopher Stevens wax on with all kinds of misinformation. Talking about our "long standing history" of handouts. Wrong, our long standing history is low taxes and opportunity for all. The more recent short term history is perverted with onerous government regulations and taxes and redistribution. I was speaking to someone I worked with yesterday and was saying we could easily start any business and undercut the next guy, like landscaping etc. Then i corrected myself. Actually with todays licensing OSHA, EPA, State, Local Federal Taxes, not even counting healthcare, unemployment insurance FICA, 940, 941 SSI disability, commercial insurance, liability insurance, vehicle insurance. Then we have all the vehicle fees, not the least of which are really expensive registration fees. by the way none of this accounts for the government harassment we are seeing today. The kind we accused the Soviet Union of and justified wars. Am i even halfway there ? No can you guess what the problem is today ?
