i know no one cares, but if youre reading this, then I assume youve already dedicated your time to reading this. let me begin this with a prelude, I am an atheist. No, I dont hate your god, or your preferred messiah. (of which there are many to choose from) I simply deny their existence. The reason for my belief, if thats what youd call it, is because there is almost no evidence, that I can see, that is viewable, provable,or testable in any way. And before you think to yourself the myriad of religious apologetic views, such as Look around you, theres evidence. This simply doesnt work as proof because it requires some semblance of faith. Back to my point, I dont think that I am a sinner, unsaved, damned, or any other shackles that religions, mainly Christianity, attempt to force upon me. I dont believe that Im going to Hell because Im very skeptical that a hell even exists. And, please, Im legitimately pleading to whomever is reading this, if you are a religious person, please dont ask me if I want to go to your preferred place of worship. Also, never say Im praying for you to one such as myself. It is immensely rude and somewhat offensive. The reason this post isnt either of those things is because Im not bugging you repetitively to read this. You can easily remove me from your friends list. Nonetheless, I simply ask that you take other peoples views into the spectrum before you try to help them. I understand that you are trying to assist me. i know that you are worried about us. You think that we are damned to Hell, and Im not saying youre wrong, but believe me, if theres anyone you know who is an atheist, they have looked at all alternatives, and there is simply no other way. We require no assistance. And, finally. if Im wrong, and Hell exists, and Im forced to be there eternally, it was my decision.
