i mean it when i say that i will probably focus my energy on making the world a vegan world, not on making it a resource-based economy world. id say there are two main reasons for that decision: 1) the problems caused by peoples non-vegan lifestyles far outweigh the problems caused be the capitalist market economy. non-vegan lifestyles cause roughly 1000 times as much suffering, ceorcion, and violent death as the capitalist market economy. therefore i wont focus on 0.1% of the problem anymore. 2) people often say things like: In a resource based economy there wouldnt be any need for the slaughter! (Allen Calderon) and Being a member of an RBE Eventually peoples bad habits will go away. Troy Duwayne McKinley). i see it like this: vegans are far more empathic, ethical, scientifically thinking, ecologically aware people who are willing to adapt their lives to what works best, than non-vegans. the Vegan Movement is actually a far better representation of the NLRBE train of thought than the Zeitgeist Movement currently is. and i think that vegans will understand the necessity and the benefits of an NLRBE much easier, than TZM people will understand the necessity and benefits of a vegan lifestyle. so, for me, the way to go on wont be to work decades of my life for an NLRBE where (maybe) most people will become vegans... all the while watching the animal holocaust going on while i advocate for an NLRBE. for me, the way to go on will be to work towards a vegan world, because for a vegan population something like an NLRBE or a Collaborative Commons will be very easy to understand and to put into practice. in other words: vegan first, then NLRBE as a direct consequence. not the other way round.
