Should the north ever concede to allow the south take a short at the presidency once again, do any one think they will not tear this nation into shreds if the South east ever conceives the idea of taking over from president Jonathan. what is in it for the south east as we all are shouting Jonathan all the way, will the south south support for Igbo presidency take an Igbo man to aso rock, come 2019 what do we have as a bargaining chip for the presidency do we have a party? do we have a unified igbo forum that commands respect from all igbo folks, do any tribe trust the Igbos like we dished out our wives to the south south in the middle of the night trusting nothing will happen between them A Yoruba party merged with a northern party which gave birth to the Nigerian strongest opposition party in history they Beckoned on APGA to join them but the leadership of APGA decided to pinch its tent with the ruling party, Governor Rochas okoroacha made bold step by jettisoning an APGA bedridden with internal crises to join APC; his brothers from the south called him names even labeled him an ALAHAJI Chris Ngige of Anambra state by the virtue of merging up of the old defunct ACN joined the APC; his brothers back home labbeled him a saboteur who wanted to sell Ndi igbo to Yoruba cum hausa folks the most confusing aspect is that after calling Rochas and Ngige names we lost our voices as to why Governor Peter Obi sold APGA to PDP after his term as Governor Ndigbo by now should have gotten two strong candidates as Governor of APC party which is enough bargaining chip to contest the presidential elections on its plat form late DIM Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu formed APGA and wanted it to become a brand that all south eastern folks will come to love and accept, but APGA from inception have always been an Anambra party nothing more than that, so i expected my IGBO brothers and sisters to embrace a more national party like APC which has the capacity of leading an IGBO man to ASO ROCK all we did was call APC a northern party created to Islamize Nigeria when we had the chances ofnaking the party more colourful by joining them and participating in decisions taken by the party. till today we have always accused the north of holding sway as leaders of the nation for most of its life span, but we forget that all the coups and counter coups were masterminded by them and that is why they have always been head of state. the only southern coup threw up Aguiyi Ironsi as head of state those crying marginalised should have taken up arms to execute coups and lead like them so rather than crying always the igbos should learn to participate fully in national building projects that will be beneficial to them, it doesnt matter which folks are originators or not away from tribal politics i strongly advocate we jettison politics of ethnicity and vote for credible candidates to steer the affairs of the nation for the next four years lets pray that the APC convention will throw up great leaders that will stand the test if time i still hope Governor Fashola and his likes will have opportunities to fly the parties flag.
