i shared my story with a few at camp. but i think everyone deserves to hear it. My name is Erin Pameolik I am a mother of 2. One was adopted out to my older sister. i gave birth to a boy at the age of 20 he is now 4 years old. 4 years was all a pain to me. i say this because, every mother wants a healthy baby, well mine is a different story. He was born with septo-optic displaysia. a condition very rare. also many other complications that followed in the following years. People always ask me why is he like that? I can never give out answers because i dont know. septo-optic displaysia is a condition where your optic nerve to your eyes are damaged. he was born blind. at the age of 20! thats what i had to deal with! it was always a load i felt like i had to carry. following years came i lost the ones i loved the most and my load got alot heaver. Moved back with my parents cuz i couldnt take care of myself anymore. I was on my last strand holding on to dear life. than last strand was taken, snapped with words that werent true! i couldnt take it anymore! so I tried to end my life. Im glad to say that im still here. my point is. If words are said to you please dont twist them around! or as they say if you dont have anything nice to say about a person dont say anything at all!! because you dont know how many strands they have left of there rainbow! we all know that life will always have its ups and downs its just some people dont know how to handle things in a way so they think suicide is there only option. my story! my son is now 4 years old whom i love so dear! he is not with me right now for that i couldnt take care of him alone. but im so glad to say that he is learning daily! and so proud to say that one of the participants that came for the walk was one of his care givers! God always shows me a way to find out that he is truly in good hands! i was always worried but he sent me you! to show me!
