i usually dont speak on things...but..not all..but most..cases thatI SEE of police brutality stems from people not respecting and not submitting to authority. and because of that police get the bad rep and the world becomes antipolice ALL because the police have the authority to do what they need to do..Example...police says youre under arrest...the individual starts to RESIST arrest..and the police uses their authority to take the individual down and take them into custody..then you have the BYSTANDERS with their cameras screaming why are you doing that to him/her? hmmm i wonder why....they are not submitting to AUTHORITY and that is why the police are doing what they are doing!!!!!!! do they use excessive force at times? YES...for those of us who BELIEVE in the bible but are not familiar with it..I have provided a few verses to help with submitting to not only the police..but to all who have authority over us!!! THAT IS ALL.... Romans 13:1-7 ESV / 319 helpful votes Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is Gods servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out Gods wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid Gods wrath but also for the sake of conscience. Hebrews 13:17 ESV / 265 helpful votes Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you. Titus 3:1 ESV / 180 helpful votes Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, Romans 13:1 ESV / 142 helpful votes Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. 1 Peter 5:5 ESV / 112 helpful votes Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
