i want to say thanks to all who have taken the time to post comments and reviews on Guernica, revisiteds amazon listing. this is the latest from Ally Malinenko: Richard Vargas Guernica, Revisited is a telling powerful book. Never one to belabor a point, instead Vargas leads across the landscape of America, through his own eyes showing us both what we know and what we wish we didnt. Many of his poems are amusing, others utterly gripping (Im thinking specifically about the one about why his ex-wife will get into heaven). The Milagros series throughout was a personal favorite. If youre not familiar with the work of Richard Vargas this is an ideal opportunity to meet one of American poetrys finest writers. much obliged, much appreciated. gracias, amiga.
