i want to thank one of my closest, dearest friends for making my childs day, with the sweetest act of kindness. Today was grandparents day at her school. Lets back up and tell about last year- in Kindergarten- Trin came home in tears, that she didnt have a grandparent come and she didnt understand why Alzheimers makes it impossible for my mom to be there. Papaw is in Heaven, Mamaw is in Heaven and Mimi is in Alexian- she just cried. I cried with her. This year when the paper came announcing it i threw it away with tears thinking my baby would get her heart crushed again- then God worked it out. When i told Trin that Nancy and Daryl were coming to be her honorary grandparents she lit up like a Christmas tree. She couldnt wait to tell me all about it when i got home from work! Thank you Lily Parks (Tammy Parks) for sharing your Nana and thank you Nancy Fuller and Daryl Pendergrass for being there and making her day! I wish schools realize how things like grandparents day affects children who have lost loved ones and i wish there were more wonderful people like Nancy who care
