i was tired and covered in mudd it took three tries to get that rickety little truck started i finish running the plumbing for the hospital that day and my flight was the following morning i left for nueva esperansa a tiny village hight into the mountains it was 12 30 at night and the moon was high and full i had byron and jedamias in the back with over 1000 tiny tilapia i had to get to the small fish farms that had been filling with spring water the entire day before before their oxygen ran out. i started the truck and headed ddown the dark road with only one headlight and no dash lights i light up my head lamp to see the dash the gas gage read below empty with no possible place to get gas at that hour i knew the only option was to go in faith , the long terrible mountain road through rivers and villages know for violence i kept my sences and awareness on high alert with all confidence and readiness for anything to happen . i reached the first place at about 1 30 am and every dog around there was going nuts i prepared the water and checked the overflow pipes ,i fed more water from to fish pond above it 1 mountain and property line over that i built last year by pushing its over flow pipe far under the surface for liken 10 min (the over flow to this one feeds the new one ) i was waist deep and in the dark of this habitat i had created with many water plants and duck weed it was like staring at the sscene of an anaconda scene. i washed the multitude of fish with about 2 lbs of raw salt and set them to swim i grabbed up my tools and headed for the hike down the mountain to the truck to unload the 100 lb bag of fish food concentrate and to bless the family i had come to know and love , its become my nature to not spend mych time on farewells i was off to the next one after fourwheeling for thirty minutes up the side of pastures and through several make shift barbed whire getes i made it to the peaceful mud hut that the family you have seen in the pictures live... Buenas ! buenas ! i proclaimed as i reached the side of their house i had to install the overflow from their pila which is the water sistern that i built in their front of their house fed by the spring i taped on the mountain behind them because the overflow from this was the feed for their fish farmm they all got up to watch me work none of the 6 beautiful children were whiny but giggling as i struggled to get every aspect of the work perfect before i left i unloaded the 100 lbs of fish food for them for the 6 months before their first harvest and wished them well blessed them and recited all of their names which always makes the kids giggle they love that ... i made it to tauelabe and the truck never sputtered amazing !!!! there was a small crowd around a young girl with a very swollen finger with a ring stuck on it they couldnt get it off and it was getting dangerously swollen i got her to sit down on the dusty road with me and i took the blade off of a hack saw and a file and as i talked with her about purpose and wisdom i sawed it of of her finger without drawing blood what i time of decipleship at three in the morning in such an odd situation the girls name was kenya .. well im back and it was hard to leave but i know that i will never step off of the mission field as long as i am alive on this earth im not home to rest and recouperate , or to get ready for the next one , this is the mission field dont loose sight !
