iPhone 6 ‘Reach-ability’ one-handed feature showcased on video: One of the questions that gets stapled to the introduction of a device with a larger display is, “How well does it work one-handed?” That’s no different for the 4.7- and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, respectively. Thankfully, Apple has an answer. As devices get larger, the ability to use them comfortably with one hand diminishes for some people. Gaining access to an app icon that’s at the top of the display on a big smartphone can be frustrating, but Apple has a pretty straightforward fix for the situation on both of their upcoming iPhone 6 models. It’s called Reachability, and it’s a quick method to being able to reach any item on your display. With Reachability, double tapping the Home button will actually transition the content on the display down towards the bottom of the display. You can see how it looks in the image above, with the Calendar app taking up the bottom-half of the display, rather than the entirety of it. It makes it possible to reach an option at the top of an app quickly, which might otherwise be unaccessible for some owners. Double tapping the Home button again will deactivate Reachability, and cause the display to re-shift to its proper layout. it looks like a seamless methodology, and it’s showcased in a new Vine video published by Danny Sullivan.
