iSentia is one of the newest supporters of The Big Issue, an Australian magazine employing homeless and disadvantaged people, so Claire Waddington and Andrea Benton from the ANZ CSR Committee participated in The Big Issue’s Big Shift, an annual event where sponsors and partners of The Big Issue are invited to take part in a Women’s Subscription Enterprise Shift alongside homeless and disadvantaged women who are currently employed by the enterprise. As part of Anti-Poverty Week, this event highlights the amazing opportunity that The Women’s Subscription Enterprise offers of fortnightly employment for homeless and disadvantaged women across Australia. We were hosted by Lisa Wilkinson, a long time ambassador of The Big Issue and heard a key note from Dame Quentin Bryce, as well as from Terry a current employee. iSentia will be working closely with The Big Issue across Australia and offering a number of volunteering opportunities so stay tuned for more coming soon…
