ideas anyone? A month ago I had a tooth extracted rather than have root canal. There was a gum infection and decay below the gum line. Id tried loads of things but the infection wouldnt shift so reluctantly took antibiotics which helped but didnt clear it completely. The would took much longer to heal than expected even though I eat well and take loads of vitamin C and did ACV and salt rinses. Im still in a lot of pain - with neuralgia and am taking pain killers - I got through a trapped sciatic nerve without them but this so much worse. I went back last week as it didnt seem to be improving and the dentist said theres nothing wrong - no infection now, its healing cleanly - there might be some pain from associated bone loss. But its got worse again now even 400mg of brufen not touching the pain and I hate painkillers! taken more in the last month than in the last 10 years. Not sure what to do next - second opinion from another dentist or another route entirely?
