...if he had been suspected, arrested and charged in Italy... it would have meant an inevitable conviction and unending appeals... and maybe still in prison despite being innocent... the cops would have kept him as a suspect and invented a conspiracy where he and the actual murderer were in on the murder... good thing he was in the UK where he only got destroyed by the tabloids for a while... (but bail still not lifted for SIX WEEKS after they got the actual killer)
