…. if not ……the courage and confidence to get on stage almost naked of any musicians…. it is not her voice though simply divine and completely exquisite … for me, it has to be the melody and piano keys keeping fleeting time as a back drop to her lyrics…..the relentless tic/toc of the piano pressed against the anguish of her words, the story of what seems to be endless and unforgettable pain… …..on this bright but cold October Sunday ……the dawn of winter will be inevitable and as I step about outside, soaking in what can possibly be the last warm sunrays…..my time here is ticking away…..having a set date for leaving to Europe for a one year sabbatical, I find myself soaking in the imageries of what I have basically lived and known all my life….I keep telling myself “the only constant in life is change”, it is still difficult to live by/with, this notion…..on the flip side of this there is the adrenalin rush of the unknown, optimism and why not… even faith… …. any regrets?...absolutely!.......would I of changed anything, even if I could I would not….destiny is not only sweet, but it is also an authoritarian parent, who believes a quality life needs to experience ups and downs, and for either one there are no limits to joy and/or pain…. ….for all you bleeding hearts, this is not a cry for help (thank you anyway), more a realization of my reality…… which is just fine where it is…..
