From what I read, you can be a pretend injured person, or help out with the event, or there are a lot of roles to play to help our First Responders do a single weekend of mass training- Bay Area-style! Check the website for more info. ____________________________________________________ SEPTEMBER 9/4-9/8- Urban Shield Event- the weekend of 9/6 and 9/7 volunteers from all over are going to be helping out with training for teams from around the world who come here to practice real-world scenarios of mass casualty events. Sept. 10- 5:30pm CEC meeting (community events planning) at HOA building Friday, Sept. 12, 2014- 8:15 pm- FREE MOVIE NIGHT- Monsters University (pg)- at the Little League park on Grant across the street from Arroyo High School- SAN LORENZO- bring your own low back chair/blankets. Snacks for purchase at location. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014 10am-5pm- THE GATHERING- Meek Estate on Hampton Rd. $10 at the gate. Saturday, Sept. 13-Sunday Sept. 14- CV Fall Festival, up near the BART station.... 2 day street party event. Thursday, Sept. 18- 7:30pm HOA board meeting/town hall at HOA building 377 Paseo Grande Monday- Sept. 22- 4pm Sheriffs Advisory meeting at HOA building Thursday- 5pm- Sept. 25th at the SLZ HOA building- EALI GOVERNANCE meeting (if you come to one meeting, you are eligible to vote)- they talk about things like how you want slz governed in the near future- do you want it changed? Do you want it combined with CV with a board to govern slz, or combined with all of the Eden Area- COME TO THIS and have a say. Friday- Sept. 26- COP SHOP BBQ- 5:30pm-9pm at First Presbyterian Church, 2490 Grove Way, Castro Valley - Donation $12- (includes beverage) Proceeds to benefit the Community Oriented Policing Unit- RAFFLE!!!
