if youre having problems dealing with yourself & your emotions: first off, take a step back. look at everything around you. pick out each issue you have and evaluate them. what can i do to improve this issue? how can i fix it? a, b & c. time is essence. meeting your idealistic goal of happiness WILL take you time. sometimes lots of time. do not rush it. step two. never react in impulse. are you angry? dont let your anger influence your decisions. are you upset? dont let your sadness influence your decisions. dont quickly respond to that text message. instead, go to your notes in your phone or open up a draft email and type everything you want to say. go drink some water, come back and reread your message. delete the parts that are irrational or immature and edit it while youre calm. we all say and do stupid things when were upset. step 3. what are the little things you have in your life supporting you along the way? is it your cat? your dog? your favorite book? your journal? your friend(s)? your significant other? think about the fantastic things that have got you this far. the fantastic people. they havent given up on you, so dont give up on yourself.
