ill be the first to admit im a scrooge. its been so hard for me to find the christmas spirit or even have the desire to put up decorations pretty much since i left home over a decade ago. i dont begrudge anyone else their christmas spirit...i just not super spirited myself. now that i have a baby, i know that i really dont want to pass this christmas apathy on to her. so, im going to actually try to make an effort to kindle some kind of christmas flame in my cold, black heart. i am going to *try* to seek out something everyday from now until christmas that helps me feel festive...well see how it goes. i have ALWAYS loved christmas music and loaded up my iPod with an overflowing playlist of it...heres day 1 - a beloved favorite from my childhood. stille nacht by mannheim steamroller. im sure this one will be on repeat many times this month...still gives me chills every time i hear it! youtu.be/hTSkS0Abas4
