im beyond blessed and thankful for the kindness and care of friends/family and a few generous strangers who made me feel so celebrated and loved on april 1. more than any other year, im very aware of the village (spanning chicago, paris, egypt, kuwait, palestine, tunisia, jordan, lebanon and tanzania) that raised me- its a beautiful lot in life to have had so many people invested in nourishing and nurturing my mind and spirit in these 25 years
