im going to assume is majorly because we were obviously lied to and that opened our eyes to the possibility of other lies. its like the excitement of stories or movies/books that leave little things for you to connect yourself and figure out, once you get that thrill of discovery its hard to stop it. to memorize is only one part of intelligence, to understand the info you memorized is completely different. to use the context and surrounding information you know to determine the legitimacy of answers situations and subjects.
