im hearing that many whiskey companies here, buy a bulk whiskey, from MGB in indiana, owned by seagrams, and bottle it under their own label. they add their own finishing touches, just like you or i could- such as my personal favorite, maple syrup. if you remember, i commented that i could taste no appreciable difference, between crown royal and cc. i bet that canadian whiskey is bulk produced just the same as bourbon. i would recommend a little experimentation, with various flavorings, like vanilla extract, brown sugar and others. focus on high quality natural extracts, to achieve a pleasing flavor, then make up a quantity, in some classy decanters, with cork stoppers. i once sampled a whiskey that tasted of smoke. it was very interesting.
