im not going to stop eating meat, drinking milk, or anything else - TopicsExpress

im not going to stop eating meat, drinking milk, or anything else dealing with animal consumption. However, I will make a more concerted effort in only purchasing what i know i will eat (and not gluttonly) and when at all possible the 100mile rule. Not that the 100mile rule will guarantee the animals been treated any more humanely; but 100miles i can get there to witness for myself. However, also for those who say well why not just go to the grocery store and buy your meat there, instead of inhumanely killing animals ... uhm ,.. uh... are you serious!? Where do you think the meat comes from? Vat grown lab meat is still not considered commercially viable option, so i doubt thats gonna happen for a few decades, if ever... when its already a standard to do as much of this video speaks of. GMO or natural breeding gmo to produce fast growing meat/product animals and slaughter.... Lastly, ... this video while shocking, is exactly that... shocking. for a reason. It gets your attention. and only the heartthrobs will be seduced by it. That being said, not every farm worker treats animals like objects without compassion and humanity, not every worker is so cruel.... but when corporate profits, or simple profits to stay afloat, even meeting productivity quotas .. sometimes, bad shit happens... So we need to go after the marketing boards that insist on limited or accepting practices, we need to go after ourselves to respectably control what/how much we eat and waste, we need to go after Stock broker commodity dealers and shut them down, since its their profits that tend to drive the cruel and inhumane practices that go far beyond acceptableness. We need to go after societies thinking as a whole to adjust our knowledge and ignorance levels back from the oh just go to the store and buy it there, no animals were harmed back to oh yah, that was bessy, she was a good cow, i helped raise her and loved her... now ill respect her sacrifice by not wasting anything, and using every last bit of her, So shell know what help she was. (well maybe not to that extent, but hopefully you get my jist. Respect the animal, Respect yourself. Its a short step between bad animal husbandry and household abuse and political profiteering.)
