im planning on going to watch a bench press tornament in bristol pa on sat march 8th. if i think im good enough to enter a weight lifting tornament there is another tornament in the area on june 7th $100 entry fee. part of weight lifting competitions is how strong you are but they are all based upon your weight and age. i havent worked much over the last 13 years but i have been working out hard since college so its like ive been a professional athlete working on my body. the cool thing is that i could win money if by chance i win. the less i weigh compared to what i can lift determines how good a chance i would win. bench press winners at my age start at 1.5x your weight, squat 2.5x your weight and i didnt do a lot of research for the other main lifts. if you cant do at least that perfectly (all the way down and up yeah) you shouldnt think about entering a weight lifting tornament.
