important to us to help them as much as we can. We let them know we’re there for them, and we look for ways to make life easier for them in any way we can. And we always have prayer. Through our devotion to St. Jude, we know he is always a ready intercessor to God for our special petitions, including those for people in need of healing. Through his intercession, we seek many hopes for the person who is suffering—we pray for their peace, for better physical comfort, for emotional strength, for spiritual calm, and ultimately for them to be healed. Our prayers are our special gift to anyone in need, whether they ever know of our requests to the Lord or not. On August 17th we will begin the Solemn Novena to St. Jude with a special emphasis on healing. Jesus commissioned the Apostles, including our patron, St. Jude, to bring the hope of healing to the world. This is a special time for us to ask St. Jude to intercede for us and for those we know are in need of healing of any kind. During these nine days of powerful prayer, I encourage you to join with other members of the St. Jude League and pray for those in need of healing.
