in 1849, a young woman named Anna Baker fell madly in love with a low-class iron worker. Annas father refused to allow his daughter to marry such a man and banished the man from their hometown, Altoona, PA. He doomed his daughter to a life of spinsterhood and Anna was so angry with her father that she never fell in love or married, remaining bitter and angry until her death in 1914. Before Annas love was cast away, she had already picked out a beautiful wedding gown that she would wear for her true love. Since the wedding would never happen, another woman named Elizabeth Dysart wore the gown instead, gloating the entire time at the very broke Anna. Many years later, the wedding gown was donated to a Historical society and the Baker residence was turned in a Museum. Though Anna has been gone for a very long time, witnesses claim to see the dress dance on its own, especially during full moons. The dress has been seen swaying from side to side as if an unseen bride is admiring herself in it in front of a mirror. After many investigations on the dress, no one has been able to conclude as to why a dress behind glass seems to dance on its own. Many speculate that the late Anna Baker has finally re-claimed her dress and is still waiting for that one day to marry her true love. ~Macaria~ xx
