in 2003 The World Health Organisation (WHO) was going to publish a new recommendation on sugar intake. WHO was going to report that sugar should be no more than 10% of the diet. This would help to prevent diabetes, obesity and increase the lifespan of future generations. The Bush Administration (Sugar Lobby) explained to WHO that if they published these recommendations they would cut $400 million dollars of funding to WHO. WHO backed down and did not change the recommended intake. This is not fiction, this is sadly fact. Thankfully WHO are updating the intake as the children born today because of diet and lifestyle will have a shorter lifespan and a poorer quality of life than that of their parents! People tell people to not smoke because it causes cancer well sugar does that and then some. Be smart, love your body. It is the only one you have.
