in 2014 Westood Farms Foundation has fostered 60 dogs and 8 cats at our facility, finding them furever homes in New England. We have sponsored transportation fees from completely adoptable dogs to Duluth MN and spent over $500 in emergency veterinary care. Very little food has ever been donated to us so that is a direct out of pocket expense. We like to think we have made a difference in those pets and their loving future families. Of course every one of them will be spay/neutered before leaving our premises. We have many to thank for assisting us with our project: Dixie Day Spay for snip snip, animal shelters for posting those special pregnant cases who dont stand a chance, transporters, adoption agencies and moral support! It can be over whelming.
