in fact, I kinda hope that persecution of christians actually begins to happen on an even larger scale. the catch 22 of american laws is that the freedom of religion allows us the freedom to worship god however we want, but it also puts less weight on our words when we try and profess our faith to others. if anyone can say anything they want, it means nothing. but in other countries, where christians are hated and murdered daily for their faith, we are seeing a boom of christianity not seen since the roman age. the truth is that christianity can only thrive when it is in direct opposition to the powers that be. so, america, if you are reading this, start persecuting us more. make us back up the words that we say with our actions. push us and push us to see that there are those of us who truly believe and put our trust in that man who died on a tree nearly 2000 years ago. Finally, to go on a slight tangent, if being an american and being a christian don;t create conflicting views, either america is truly a christian nation, or you have a distorted view of what christianity is.
