In fact his debut venture is drawing to a close. The man from Rajamundry has roped in newcomers for the project titled Cut Cheste , that revolves around a horror story. Speaking about his dream, he says, “I always wanted to be a director. My father R.K. Padala was a writer. Actor Ranganath and my father were friends and before the former stepped into movies, they both would push me to participate in dramas. I think all these childhood experiences influenced me unconsciously to move to movies. I worked with Chintapalli Ramana and Vamsi as a dialogue writer. Gopi Gopika Godaari, Saradaaga Kasepu, Lucky and Action 3D were the films I worked in as a writer before taking up direction,” he recalls. “Telugu cinema has opened many opportunities to new directors and anyone can direct a film without working as an assistant director or a writer, thanks to digital cameras,” he adds. When someone narrates a film script, he moves onto the next scene with a line ‘ cut cheste ’. It is a familiar and catchy word and the director felt it would be good if used as a title. This film is a cinema within a cinema; it instils fear and also generates entertainment. He adds, “My strength lies in comedy as a dialogue writer. The film is completely entertaining and you get pulled into a horror zone unexpectedly.
