in less than ten years, we went from the Do Not Call Act of 2004 to mass interception of private data without our consent for marketing profits. basically we went from the federal government making the telemarketers stop annoying us to give up our private data via telephone, to a total disregard by the federal government about mass private data collection on your cell phone, computer and any other device that connects to the internet. AND the government is doing it. we have a government that has completely surrendered to the predatory advertising industry and it often seems like the government is that very same industry or is at least a part of it. that doesnt seem like a strong government
