in light of the presidents mere acknowledgement of trans identity and its subsequent imperative that we must be happy about progress it seems like the most neoliberal articulations of trans politics are being embraced as progressive. now more than ever we have to push back on the incorporation of national (white) trans identity (an identity largely produced by cis white people to pursue cis white agendas) into the business as usual (state sponsored racism). please embrace the visionary scholarship and activism of our comrade Lourdes Ashley Hunter of the Trans Women of Color Collective of Greater New York for a more substantive, grounded, and meaningful type of trans politics.
