in love i am realising and understanding that the road less traveled isnt the one i want to avoid. i want to journey places that i have never been before emotionally, especially after being broken down and rarely built back up. i knew that being in love would require transparency, commitment and communication, but honestly, love has so many more layers to it; layers that i didnt realise i was capable of pulling back and exposing. when you find a connection worth valuing, walking through hell to get to heaven can be trying and tiring. the journey wont always be sunshine, and roses wont always blossom from your rain storms, BUT the experiences will make the trip worth while. in love ive learned things about myself that i never knew existed. ive been challenged to reveal things that ive been hiding and holding onto. being in love is so much more than racing hearts, heightened senses and butterflies. for me, love has been a test. its been a beautiful struggle between who i am and who i want to be. love has been my teacher, my healer and eye opener. i feel blessed to be in love; not only with another human but with myself.
