in the northern hemisphere not the southern so, far from being universal...so why not Christmas on December 21st? That IS the solstice. Because, there is a link with the date of Christs crucifixion- calculated to be March 25th. So between March and December there is nine months (significant). Actually when the Annunciation and Good Friday coincide, there are two sacred thorns believed to be from Jesus crown that bleed on that day. They are kept in two churches in Italy and pilgrims gather to see the phenomenon. That happened in 2005 and jumbotrons were set up in the piazza of these churches. They also bled on April 2nd of that year (a significant death took place). The next time the sacred thorns will bleed is 2016, when Good Friday occurs on the 25th of March. God in his wisdom prepared the paganus world for the coming of Christ so when the Gospel of Jesus was proclaimed to them, the nature worshippers could say, Now it all makes sense. Christianity harmonizes the religion of the Jews, the philosophy of the Greeks, and the sensibilities of the pagans. Merry Christ- Mass. ~ Knight of Mary
