in todays modern christianity, it seems to me that a great number of churches and movements are more concerned at appearing to be hip or pop-cultural. a sort of appeal to masses at all cost. what has happened to the great movements like c.h. spurgeon, h.a. ironside, or martin luther. a trend of universalism has crept in. it seems to be more important to soften the truths of the word, change worship to be more trendy and hip, and just down right appealing to the culture. wait a minute.....are to appeal in such a way that the message is so watered down, that if an unbeliever decides to become one of us, his perception of God is some muddied water interpretation. there must be a foundational framework. its christ, sin, hell, heaven, redemption, etc. it seems to me that we are letting the world dictate to us on how we present the message. they are molding and shaping our doctrines rather than us teaching biblical truth that molds and shapes them into the image of christ.
