indeed,indians through no fault of thier own,or some would say and think weak rullers,were conquered,subjugated for over 1200 years first by mohemeddans conquerors ,lienage of timur,curse of god for many,by babur,akbar etc,followed by judo christian invasions of vasco degama,french in pondicherry and then britain taking charge of hindusthan for three hundred years and thanks to ghandi and his supporters of christians,jews and men and women of goodwill at home and abroad in uk,india,america,india atlast got free after blood,sweat and toil.and under british rule,after slave trade was abolished,many indians were carted,shunted like canon fooder of tommies,jocks and indian soldiers by going over at the top,in somme,pashendale etc,the indian coolies were sent to east africa,fiji,west indies,south africa,mauritious ,guyana etc and told to be productive in inhospitable climate and grow sugarcane,tea,open dukaas,i.e shops and do commerce,trade and pay axes for expansion and war efforts.hence,africans,like dictator idi amin who converted to islam,did a coup and took chargeof uganda told indians to get out or else be fed to crocodile and had to leave,houses,possessions and some came bedraggled clutching children to uk plc,where they were met by kind,compassionate christians who gave the shelter,tea,bicuits,blankets and slowly rehoused them from whence many have become successfull.hence,if each faith community had stayed put in thier own enclave,territory in the world,would there be such a global conflict and olde wounds of religious wars re opened or revisted in the third millenia.indeed,as i went to sunday mass,ist sunday in advent and heard the first hymn ,Emannuel,Come --an uplifting hymn and prayers and after being told that oneof the catholic priest was ninety nine,I couldnt resist asking the priest of what his secret was abd akso congrtulating him for his achivement in longetivity and still carrying out his vocation as a priest and i said that i shouldnt complain or winge of ahces and pains of 51 years of uk living,as damp may have got in the bpnes or what not seeing him going strong.indeed,Moses sired a child,according to bible when he was 90 and sarah was sixty,does seem implossible and poor child,when he or she was 21 ,dad might have been 111 or mum 81.but there goes the stories.the priest said that he wasnt expected to live and died as a child but doesnt know how he has made it 99.so i said that his prayers to Virgin Mary as mother may have saved him with a mission to preach the good news of love,compassion and forgiveness of sins.hence,after watching news on various channels of slaughter,abuse at home and abroad,by going to a church,listening to music,hymns and gentleness and kindnes,one sees different aspect of human life and which relaxes,calms one down and gives one hope of a better kinder,vegan sociey where men and women are equal and women,children,girls dont have fear.
