introducing our new fur kid, puppy bella dillon-meisle!!! our greatest thanks to mike and joy freethy, bellas guardian angels who linked us to bellas foster mom, patty!!!! bella is, I can hardly believe this, a 6 month old lab/daschund (what??? really???) mix. she and her sisters were delivered to the shelter in fresno, fostered by a rescue organization, adopted by patty, and rejected by pattys older fur kids. her first appointment with our greatly loved dr. adam is oct. 24. old puppy cole crossed the rainbow bridge four years ago. its been a long wait for our next fur kid to find us...during which time we were able to realize a dream and travel to oxford and northern england, travel, stay in non dog lodgings, crash on d and joes floor whenever we didnt want to go home at night from napa, etc. our dream fur kid was to be no more than 50 pounds (in contrast to coles 130#), a female, a heinz 57, and sweet as a lab. seems that bella, ken, and i were fated to be family...and now she is here. remind me of this joyful assessment when she plunges us into the inevitable puppy chaos (i am thinking of coles only truly bad, terrible, horrible outburst...the one where in he ate my favorite designer couch)!!! more pix later...i need to puppy proof the house and prepare a place for her puppy pee pads (center patio), bed, eating station, etc. bella is already house trained but her legs are still too short to go downstairs!!! who would have dreamed that wed find each other with less than a days notice! bless you, mike and joy!
