is happy to be back in Chiang Mai and away from Koh San Road. Took a 12 hour overnight bus ride with dodgy air conditioning. Settled in at my place only to realize the bus people broke into my rucksack (I had TSA approved locks on my bag and they must have had some TSA key... everything that is really valuable is always on my person or in my carry on bag) and stealing $40ish (american money that I forgot in my locked bag) and having the bus stop at some gas station off the highway and forcing everyone to pay for an overpriced tuk tuk (with no other options of alternative transportation...instead of driving us to the bus station at planned). Sometimes I hate you Thailand and this only makes me hate dodgy bus operations/tuk tuks even more. I didnt argue or get upset as its not worth it. Many lessons learned today.
