it is my conclusion that after studying Government and politics for many years that the Government basically operates for the benefit of the rich and powerful in more enlightened times the rich operate with a somewhat deal of restraint allowing the middle class and others share in the prosperity of the ruling class. sometimes the powerful, knowing that they control all forms of Government become greedy and want it all. if the people rise up and demand change, the Government makes minor concessions to keep the system going as it is. like ending the war in vietnam etc. MAYBE it is time to overthrow the whole rotten system!
