it seems that my poetic Christmas offering came a few months late this year :). Its not easy putting into words something that you have seen for yourself and not just read about in a book, even a sacred book. A late Merry Christmas to the song of angels. The Voice of Angels Inspired by Luke 2:8-18 KJV and Hark the Herald Angels Sing by Jesop I. Ash I. Shepards tending flocks on a normal night Never thinking theyd see a choir on high As Light surrounded, night became day! A song undreamed of, suddenly heard Ch I. They heard the Voice of Angels raining down on high Peace to all the Earth, sinners reconciled Joy to all the nations, Justice satisfied Hear the Invitation to behold the Child Hear the Voice of Angels, Hear the Voice of Angels Ch II. They heard the Voice of Angels singing down on high Rejoice! Good tidings to be heard by all! Hail the coming King, for the day is nigh Herin everything, tell them what you saw Hear the Voice of Angels, Hear the Voice of Angels II. Two thousand years have passed, not a note has dimmed Of that sweet refrain, up on calverys hill When I first heard the Song, all those years ago A thousand times since then, still it ner gets old Ch III. I heard the Voice of Angels calling down on high My beloved child, you are reconciled Go to all the nations, let them see inside The Son I made from that lump of clay Ch IV. I felt the Touch of Angels Mercys sweet embrace You held me near to You, strength I never knew Chains of anger shattered in the Light of Grace Joy eturnally, of a soul set free refrain: I heard the Voice of Angels, I felt the Touch of Angels (2X) (repeat Ch III. And Ch IV. in sucession) Fin.
