it sucks when a writer is forcefully trying to spew out generic intelligent narrative and it always comes off as try hard and contrived. thats what the word contrived was created for i think haha. just write naturally and then edit, but dont like, go out of your way to emulate the narrative of someone else, thats not yours, and its obvious. people fall into their own style of writing. unless you never give yourself the chance to. id rather read a beginner pile of shit in an original narrative with less cliche writing than another pseudo intelligent copy and paste drivel i read on a lot of horror short stories and internet fiction. there are just so many shitty verbs and adjectives that no one would EVER use in a sentence, good vocabulary is cool but thats forced and distracting and doesnt flow. anyone else agree?
