its been over 6 months since i (Cobey) stopped playing my own drums at shows. i want to thank our friend Colin ( C Kerns + Bats), who supported us so well since February on percussion. it was fun, so freeing to experiment with standing to perform, and great to spend the time together. but as time went on i was feeling so disconnected from these songs. the primitive nature of my drumming is one of the voices that these songs were written with. and that act of pouring my entire self, literally, into each song is what tears the emotion out of me. so, after 6 months, ive decided to get back in the saddle. and here goes...an iphone demo i made yesterday of our brand new song, you dont need to disappear. (and yes, thats distortion in a batteryboy song at the end...)
