How can the use of the arms help us to gather momentum, balance and kinetic energy in order to find efficient ways to jump, turn and support ourself as we go down to the floor. An ongoing dialogue between the spine and the arms can facilitate to relief stress whilst finding new ways to steer the arms from our spinal coordination Baris Mihci- Born in Wuppertal, Germany renowned as the home of “Pina Bausch’s Tanztheater” Pina was naturally a grand influence on his experience of the art of dancing and his life path. Baris did not start dancing until after obtaining his degrees in Social Pedagogy, German language and Sports and Special Education for physically disabled children at the University of Cologne. In 2001 he was introduced to the Axis Syllabus when he then fully immersed himself in dance. Baris is one of the most active AS teachers giving regular classes and workshops for dancers and amateurs in Brussels (Studio Hybrid, Danscentrum Jette and Espace Catastrophe ) and around Europe including Italy, Sweden (DOCH and Culberg Ballet), Austria, Romania, Paris, Greece, Germany (Tanzfabrik), etc. Baris notably introduced the AS to Istanbul in 2006. He is devoted to building and supporting the AS Research Community and he has been a pillar in Nomadic College organization since 2004.
