its that time again to start looking for school supplies. I was in walmart and I came across some kids that road my bus. well the daddyof the kids did. lol . it was nice to see that the dad reconzie me. and told his kids who i was. It felt good knowing that i made a mark on this young man. With that been said, I drove a for 20 yrs of the 25 yrs that i was employed with the Acadia Parish School Board. I had many superviors,many parents and many, many students. I worked with my fellow bus driver so that we would do our jjobs with understanding,patience,and mostly with kindness. I was the presdent of the shool bus drivers ass. for this parish where as i would get information from state level to help out all the drivers in the parish. We had many changes that took place in the last 25 yrs, some were good and some were bad. I have many parents in the past years that became friends with me. Now that i have to retired, I came across something that actually blew my mind. I was still acting on behave of my fellow bus drivers . to infore them of things that were coming to change.. By doing this I got on the Acadia Parish School Bus driver web sitee to tell my friends what to look for. Well guess what happen, I know Iam retired, but you made me along with other retirese feel like we were nothing. They acually refuse us to talk on their web site. Now this is NOT ACACDIA PARISH . it is STS. sevice now. . That is not right , for 2 yrs. anyone can talk on this web site, now you made it a close group. So Sad THAT A OUT OF TOWN COMPANY can come in and do this to all the retires. WE are the ones that kept this group of bus drivers together. But one by one we are leaving because of many resons. So to all my firends , my family and all my fellow bus driver. be aware. If you need anything you can call me. One more thing before i leave. I LOVED MY JOB . and no one can take that from me.
