its what we have each year.. a kinda glorfied frit cake, similar.. richer maybe...pudding.... its served with a brandy butter.. which is from the freezer and as it what it says.. butter. you mix with brandy and lemon and orange peel and then freeze it. you put few table spoons on your plate with this.. which has been flambéed and... comes to the table lit... in the dark.. then lights go on.. you slice it up.. and pour this brandy-white sauce on it.. all that is warm and then you have the frozen brandy butter.. and starts melting bit but you eat it all on your spoon/fork and the contrast with the hot and cold and the sweetness and the sauce is just lovely.. i love it. few times when i lit it i set my table cloth and linen napkins on fire and another year.. spilt some brandy, etc.,, on floor and around the palce.. and my pajamas caught on fire... peggy says i get too excited ! and second time is even better than first.. ok.. a repeat !
