ive rarely looked at an art magazine, even when im rarely in one, since phil lieder sent me a nail and asked me to nail artforum to a fast sliding art world in 1971, and ive found fb the first simple way to catch up on the conversation. my main thought today is the need for distinction between the art world and the art market, which i see as two entirely separate entities. most of my pals are artists, im one, but many of us work outside the art market. any thoughts on this division?
