They came to the conclusion that whats basically the ECIR protocol, consisting of a low sugar/starch, mineral balanced diet with barefoot rehab, boots, and exercise, was a provably effective method of treating IR laminitics with pedal bone rotation and a poor prognosis under normal veterinary care. This may be a useful source for anyone struggling with an awkward vet who is insisting on shoeing, so worth sharing and getting out there :)
